The sisters Lise and Synnøve play by the river in their new neighbourhood, but their game is suddenly interrupted when two other girls show up and want to know what the sisters are doing on “their” territory.

Siri, 15, receives a call from child protection services who have heard that she might be facing problems in her family. A visit is planned at her house on Saturday. Siri has two days to regain control over her life and give the illusion of a healthy and happy family environment. She receives the help of her friend Arne whom she is in love with. But when the rumor that she sells canabis starts to circulate, everything races and Siri’s world collapses.

Bauta is a short documentary that explores public, monumental buildings in Norway - stone and concrete buildings. By the public they have the desire to be torn down, or are not given particular aesthetic value. But what about when people are out of the buildings and they get to stand for themselves? Bauta provides a new experience of space and architecture.

In this documentary we meet a group of people at the age between 72 and 100 years who attend writing courses, led by professional writers. What happens when the elderly get room to speak, write and discuss?

A collection of stories and observations from Oslo residents, told through some of the city's most visible but least talkative members; namely the city dwellings. Sound recordings of real people from different parts of the city is combined with manipulated video clips of blocks, villas and townhouses, so the buildings themselves tell of their city.
