Kundan Shah's FTII Diploma Film - A 23-minute dialogue-less short about a gang of bank robbers.

The film explores the mental time and space of one character, a girl, who lives in a lane in a suburb of a city (Mumbai).

Man-pulled rickshaw, which have served Kolkata for over eight decades face virtual extinction as a result of legislation introduced by the State Government in 1981. This would rob over 100,000 people of a living. The film analyzes the critical situation, and on the basis of concrete facts and figures, questions whether such a step would be fruitful at all. The image of a man pulling a man is a depressing and a negative one - but not more negative than that of the image of a man going without food.

An ascetic walks through the narrow streets of a village every morning while his family is still asleep. In his semi-somnolent state he dreams about the history of the village mixing up myths, folklore and facts.

The camera sways slightly, setting in a majestic black and white on the intimate stories of a small village bordering the jungle. A mystical and poetic cinematic experience, in which one gladly gets lost.

A series of three episodes which explore the relationship between men, women and the physical and mental spaces they inhabit.

The giant wheels of the city grind thousands between them. A young boy from a chicken farm and a housekeeping girl in a luxury hotel - each one must give the other strength to try and escape this fate, as nameless chicken continue to feed the city slaughterhouses.
