Fritzi works in an elegant fashion house. One day she accidentally breaks an expensive mannequin and solves the problem by taking its place.

Based on several medieval mystery plays, including the late 15th-century English morality play "Everyman". The premise is that the good and evil deeds of one's life will be tallied by God after death, as in a ledger book. The drama is the allegorical accounting of the life of Everyman, who represents all mankind.

From Rotterdam, Gerhard Bern has received the terrible news that, for no ostensible reason, his brother has committed suicide. The only clue seems to be his membership of a secret club. To find an explanation, Gerhard, accompanied by a detective, hurries to Rotterdam, where he is given accommodation by Consul Verstraaten, a friend of his father. There he meets and falls in love with the Consul’s daughter Ilse and shortly thereafter they become engaged. In the meantime another mysterious suicide has been reported. It appears that in both cases the men, both members of the same club, had taken out a life insurance policy and that a certain Mr van Gelderen, leader of the club, has collected the insurance money.

A young girl returns to her father's country, but her joy is short-lived. She is courted by a neighbouring fisherman, but also by the captain of her father's ship, who has shady intentions towards her.

The friend of an American millionaire is supposed to bring his daughter back on his behalf. The friend and the daughter get closer.

Comedy in which Elza's father wants her to choose high society over her friendship with a painter. Elza Grunner is a model for the painter Bernhard. Her father, however, demands that Elza choose between the Count of Trutwitz and an American. Two befriended actors want to help her, pretend to be the Count of Trutwitz and the American, respectively, and visit Mr. Grunner. Of course, they make sure these visits are a fiasco. When the American wants to kidnap Elza, Bernhard comes to the rescue. Mr. Grunner eventually approves of Bernhard.

A manhunt is launched after a woman's suffers a brutal attack. Investigators have their eyes in one man, recently released from prison, who was present in her home.
