Fernando, a naval officer, arrives in the city of Rosario to work on an oil tanker. But his move seems to conceal other motives.

The known world is over, only its ashes remain. In a desperate attempt to reunite their family, Ana and her mother embark on a dangerous journey in which they will face the creatures that dominate the planet and an even more dangerous monster: the one all humans carry inside.

In 1864, the Spanish poet Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer (1836-70), suffering from health problems, retires to the monastery of Veruela. Far from the noise and worldly activity of the capital, he immerses himself in the landscape of the mysterious Moncayo mountain. There, he discovers a new world full of legends that converge in a small village located at the foot of the mountain: Trasmoz, the Village of the Witches, the only officially cursed village in Spain.

One of the greatest cultural and social revolutions in 20th century Europe took place in a tiny village on the Spanish seaside. In the 50's, a batch of American Marines build a huge military base on farming land bringing dollars, Marlboros, Cadillacs, night clubs and rock n´roll music into post-civil war Spain, an impoverished country ruled by a fascist dictator.
