Bjarne runs a moving company with his wife Malin, but it is shaky and they need to borrow money. Across the river lives Bjarnes father Halvar. The two have never pulled evenly, which stems from a 20-year conflict filled with idle words, grumpy pride and stubborn prestige. In order to rescue the firm Malin sees no alternative but to go across the river to ask Halvar to cater for the loan. A decision that will have unexpected consequences.

When the two children Torarin and Svalin wants to ride horses, their parents buy two camels instead, but realise it's more difficult than they thought and travel to Mongolia to meet the experts.

After Kickan and Ritz's wedding in the North Archipelago, the after-party members drink heavily, resulting in conflicts and introspection. However, the event ends in reconciliation and the newlyweds can leave the island happily in a helicopter.

Jim, a boy from Stockholm, arrives at a foster home in Luleå. He is placed in a special class that is putting on a musical under the guidance of an anarchistic and committed teacher. The class consists of young people who are more or less scarred by life and therefore considered incapable of participating in regular school education. For Jim and his classmates, working on the musical becomes a journey filled with conflict, but also a search for validation and self-confidence.
