Two children--a brother and sister--are the only survivors of an Indian attack on a wagon train, and are soon separated. Dick Carlysle returns home to find that his mother has married Brute Kettle who is really out to get the Carlysle ranch. First Kettle gets Bennett to forge a letter saying Dick relinquishes his inheritance in the ranch and then he tries to get Dick's mother to relinquish hers.

Sheriff has a crooked deputy, also objects to his daughter's boyfriend. Crooked deputy kills the sheriff in a robbery. Boyfriend saves the dough, captures the murderer, and gets the girl.
