"Buta" is the story of a lonely 7-year old boy (named Buta), who lives in a mountain village with his grandmother. He is befriended by an old man, a liquid soap merchant who once loved (and lost) Buta's grandmother. The old man's friendship and wise advice helps Buta to overcome his difficulties in life. Buta's grandmother, in the meantime, is weaving a special carpet in memory of Buta's mother. The carpet features a special pattern (also called "Buta"), which represents love. The boy is inspired by his grandmother's work, and decides to make his own "buta" made of rocks and stones, high on the top of the mountain...

Inspired by Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, the film follows a prodigal son who returns after 12 years. His reappearance at the family home in rural Azerbaijan significantly alters their way of life.

1992. Independent Azerbaijan is fighting separatists in Karabakh. Journalist Miranda arrives from London to shoot a documentary about the Caucasian leopard. Fate brings her together with the scout Emil. Together, they go through severe trials, during which Miranda learns a lot about the Caucasian leopard and the tragic pages of Azerbaijan's recent history.

The story is set during an upsurge in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and revolves around an old, sick ex-forestry worker and his wife Nabat, whose son has died in battle.

A few minutes in the life of two people: a young woman who has her whole life in front of her and an old man ill with asthma who has only one more night to live.

In the autumn of 1888, Baku is preparing for the visit of His Majesty Alexander III. Millionaire and member of the Baku City Duma, Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev, is fighting for influence and status in society. The city mayor, Orlovsky, taking advantage of his position, seeks to seize the oil field of Teymurbekov, who has committed suicide. Meanwhile, Ismail, the eldest son of Haji, meets General’s daughter, Nurjahan Arablinskaya, and intends to marry her.

Before his death, the jeweler wrote a will in which he mentioned the famous diamond "Abbas Shah." But when the heirs discovered his personal safe, the diamond was not there. Without hesitation, they turned for help to the detective Drongo, who, as everyone knows, is able to unravel the most mysterious thing. The detective immediately established a circle of suspects and began to screen out those who had an iron alibi. But suddenly his list began to decline for a completely different reason - someone began to kill the suspects one by one...

The film depicts a mystical event happening to a family who lived in Aghdam, during the USSR.

He dreams to realize his goal by applying to the German Embassy with official requests every month, but at the very beginning, nothing is that simple, as it seems to be to him. He is being accepted, but only to the offices. He is being heard, but nobody listens to him. People feel sorry for him, but they don't help…. The remarkable hero story of this picture will share with us an autumn sorrow and a summer joy and will allow us to live through his fate and to keep silent about the meaning of life. What could be higher than human values, love and freedom? What could be closer to us than the Motherland? What could be more important for a person whose life can end at any moment?

The documentary sheds light on the lives of children who suffered physical and psychological trauma due to the terrorist attacks by Armenia on the eve of the Second Karabakh War.

There are issues of spirituality, morality, love and loyalty in the center of the dramatic story that took place in one of the villages around Baku.

The anthology consists of 4 short feature films: "Postscriptum", "His Father", "The Gift" and "The Black Garden".

The film tells the love story of two young people - Azerbaijani Ghafar and Georgian girl Leyla - who lost their lands, loved ones and homes in the war. Ghafar is mistakenly taken to Georgia together with the kiosk. When he wants to buy back his kiosk, he meets Leyla, a Georgian girl who is homeless like him. The film is dedicated to all people who lost their homes in wars. The film was shot in Azerbaijan and Georgia.
