A dainty combination of music and grace.

In his career, De Wolf Hopper recited Ernest Lawrence Thayer's "Casey at the Bat" thousands of times. Here, wearing a tuxedo, he emerges from behind a curtain as if at a theater, gives a short introduction, and launches into the poem. The camera is stationary, and although Hopper stands in one place, his hands and arms, his face, and his voice are animated throughout. In delivery, it's a minstrel performance.

The highlight of the picture will be the delivery of the Gettysburg Address and the singing of a number of camp-fire songs. This film is considered lost, and not to be confused with "Life of Lincoln" (1915) or "Dramatic Life of Lincoln" (1924).

Snub was teamed with Jack Kearney as a pair of sailors on shore leave who keep running afoul of tough guy Gunboat Smith, ending in a slapstick fight. After Kearney knocks smith unconscious, the pair light cigarettes, but an open gas lamp next to them causes a huge explosion.

Spanish dancer Conchita Piquer performs in a short film produced in the DeForest Phonofilm sound-on-film process.

A street corner fast-pitch salesman for something called "Hoak" stops a girl walking by to give his spiel.
