Sequel to Fəryad (1993). The film tells the story of Azerbaijani victory in the 44-day Patriotic War for the lands of Karabakh, which the Armenian invaders had occupied for nearly 30 years.

The film depicts the events of a family - a mother and two children - against the backdrop of the consequences of the Khojaly tragedy. Zakir's father was martyred in the Karabakh war. He lives with his mother, and his main ideal is to return to the lands for which his father died. The hero, rejecting the voice given to him by God, chooses military school instead of mugham art. He thinks that on such a difficult day for the homeland, it is necessary to defend it with a weapon in hand.

The movie reflects the ecological environment of Sumgayit. After the collapse of the Soviet power, the old problems of the "new era" still persist. Although it is not mentioned in the movie, the new generation of people living in this city, which is named as Sumgayit, especially near poisonous plants, are born crippled and sick. There is a wide range of symbolic expressions in the film and there are interesting dream scenes.

“Urban Motives 4.1” is an anthology film consists of 5 short movies by 5 Azerbaijani directors. The first, by Anar Abbasov, is about a relationship between a man and women who live next door; second, by Ru Hasanov, is about a life of a musician who is different from others with his mentality; third, by Teymur Ismayilov, tells a story of a young worker who has his own dreams; fourth, by Jafar Akhundzade, is about traumas caused by war; and the last one, by Vugar Islamzadeh, is a story about a criminal group and an officer who wants to take revenge.

The film tells the story of the love affair between the son of the secretary of state, Riyad, and the simple woman, Nigar, and their steadfast overcoming of a number of difficulties they encounter in return.

Along with the dangerous adventures, the film also reflects the love of two young heroes. As in Romeo and Juliet, they are the children of two opposing sides.

The plot of the film is based on three love stories. The events take place in Moscow, Baku and Africa, but most of them are related to the Azerbaijani capital. The film, shot in the comedy genre, takes place during the Great Patriotic War, when the Germans left the occupied territories.

This story of two temperamentally different brothers takes place in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku during the 1970s. The elder brother Jalil is a married postal worker who keeps bees as a hobby. Younger brother Simurg is more adventurous by nature and capable of going after his goals, not just dreaming about them. Jalil has a recurring memory: once, when he was still a kid, his mother, pregnant with Simurg, took him to a women’s sauna. When both brothers fall in love for the same beautiful girl, their differences become apparent once again.

The film tells about school life, the mutual relations of teenage schoolmates, views on friendship and life, and the formation of these views.

Seymour Tahirbekov is an international chess grandmaster from Azerbaijan. Having won the Candidates Tournament, Seymour earns the right to challenge the defending world champion Skroten Gudmonson in the World Chess Championship match. With a few weeks left before the championship match, Seymour’s psychological and emotional state deteriorates under escalating abuse and pressure to succeed by any means.

Twice her age and unable to escape from the ravages of war, Rafael is forced to live on the edge of a society that sees him as a 'cripple.' Arzu, desperate to escape from the same repressive society which confines women to a strict, narrow path, chooses Rafael over her family and friends - but threatened by Arzu's mother, and guided by the wisdom born out of his own brokenness, Rafael makes the supreme sacrifice of love ...

War breaks out in the Caucasus. 75-year-old Maria loses her son in the war. She and her daughter-in-law Sofia have been living in the Caucasus for 12 years. When famine strikes, they want to move to Russia. The women decide that they must go to Moscow. Maria takes her little dog and Sofia her small suitcase, gets on the train and sets off. In the next compartment, photojournalist Alexander is also traveling. Sofia and Alexander love each other. Maria realizes at one of the stations near Volgograd that she cannot live without the Caucasus. She writes a letter to Sofia and leaves the train with her dog...

Before his death, the jeweler wrote a will in which he mentioned the famous diamond "Abbas Shah." But when the heirs discovered his personal safe, the diamond was not there. Without hesitation, they turned for help to the detective Drongo, who, as everyone knows, is able to unravel the most mysterious thing. The detective immediately established a circle of suspects and began to screen out those who had an iron alibi. But suddenly his list began to decline for a completely different reason - someone began to kill the suspects one by one...

The plot of film is constructed on the basis of memoirs of the son and mother. They were divided with border between northern and southern Azerbaijan.

The film tells the story of two amateur musicians, Kamran and Majnun, whose roads cross with Tamilla and Sara, a grandmother and her granddaughter and the events following this acquaintance. As a result of an unexpected event, a well-known sports commentator is forced to spend New Year's Eve with a rock musician who has not found himself, and a grandmother suffering from Alzheimer's disease with a graffiti lover.

The main characters – Mike Kovalski, a young American of Azerbaijani descent and a young business woman Aydan Bagirzade face a number of similar situations. They meet by accident and their meeting is full of surprises.

Shot during the Nagorno-Karabakh War, "Fəryad" is only one of its kind. Following the Khojaly Massacre, Ismayil, an officer tasked with collecting the bodies, crosses enemy lines to avenge the brutal murder of a local schoolgirl. There he gets captured by Armenians and waits for the day to be exchanged for an enemy POW.

Inspired by Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, the film follows a prodigal son who returns after 12 years. His reappearance at the family home in rural Azerbaijan significantly alters their way of life.
