Two up-and-coming friends, seeing themselves as the future elite of the new world, oligarchs, they sign up for a major deal, but it turns out that they have been drawn into a massive embezzlement scheme involving billions from the treasury. After his arrest, Andrei ends up in an overcrowded communal cell, a purgatory where he must transform himself into a different person in order to survive and return back to the real world, to his family.

The story is based on the real events of 1985. The team of a Russian polar icebreaker “Mikhail Gromov” discovered a giant iceberg. The ship came into collision while attempting to take cover from the weather and is forced to drift with ice along the Amundsen Sea coast. The crew of “Gromov” spent 133 days of polar night trying to find a way out of their icy trap. They have no room for mistakes; one wrong move and the vessel is crushed by ice.

A man goes to see his former schoolmate working at a boiler house and persuades him to burn in the furnace the corpse of his communal flat neighbor whom he has just murdered after a quarrel. An orphaned girl gets a job in the archives of the maternity home to find out the identity of her mother who abandoned her years earlier. She finds her, befriends her and takes the first opportunity to throw her into the sea. An old intellectual tries to explain to the neighbor’s five-year-old daughter “all the abomination of her lumpen existence”. The girl feeling hurt for her mother decides to poison the old man with arsenic.

The films follows a Syrian War Explosive Ordnance Disposal team who are targeted by ISIS militants while they prepare the recently liberated historic site of Palmyra to hold a symbolic concert of the Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra. The peacekeeping event can only be held in Palmyra that has been severely damaged by the terrorists only if the ancient city and the roads leading to it are defused. The EOD team clears the way one kilometer at a time. But the closer they get to the center of Palmyra, the more destructive the explosives. Tension grows between the young team Captain and the most experienced of the EOD experts. And yet, despite their differences, when the team falls into an ambush and the Captain goes missing, it’s the experienced sapper that sets out to search for him.

When Liza cannot find a way to help the child within the system, she decides on a desperate act…

Kolya hurries to the location of his unit - the Brest Fortress... The soldier does not have time to enlist in the personnel of the military, and at four in the morning artillery explosions are heard - the war has begun. He was not enlisted in the ranks of the military personnel of the Brest Fortress, but still took part in the first battle in his life, which lasted ten months.

Cornered, Andrei escapes from custody and, in the company of the thief Yana, goes to Siberia in the hope of regaining his honest name…

However, when the work that the state offers doesn't suit them, one of their acquaintances offers his help - he kicks out the non-paying tenant, draws up papers for himself so that the guys can get a loan for a private business, and then ... deceives and sells their apartment. The first test of adulthood turns out to be cruel, but even more severe trials await Dima and Yaroslav ahead...
