On an isolated desert planet, a man who is looking for parts to repair his robotic companion teams up with a young woman searching for an imaginary lake.

The documentary blends fiction and non-fiction to tell the story of a young woman whose encounter with the intense natural beauty of Iceland inspires her to examine her comfortable notions of sanity and creativity. The island's intensity reminds Andrea of her schizophrenic brother Jacob, a young man who isn’t bound by the conventional standards. “Delusional” thought and “erratic” behavior seem not so different from Andrea’s untamed surroundings in which the wind rants, the clouds are grandiose and the seasons bi-polar.

An original fable about two extremely nearsighted men wandering across a mystical land in search of inspiration and food. It is visual storytelling inspired by video games and fairy tales with music from Olafur Arnalds and an original opening composition by Charles Watson (from the London-based band, Slow Club).

Filmed on three formats (VHS, iPhone, and digital) and in more than one time period, WE FOUND FOOTAGE is a pop-art mockumentary sci-fi about two guys who find a VHS tape in the woods. Their curiosity becomes an investigation that unveils the completely unexpected - time travel.
