During a break on a rooftop, Teco, a young baker, notices the intriguing fall of a strange bird. He decides to venture to the next roof to have a closer look. This is only the beginning of a most unbelievable journey on the labyrinthine rooftops of Roma.

In the remote forests of eastern Cambodia lives a community of indigenous inhabitants. Galgenlieder are, as Morgenstern himself says in a comment, the imaginary songs of a group of hung people, dangling from the gallows hill, a strategic place that allows them to see the truths that normally a distracted and "living" viewer wouldn't.
