The King of Minami Collection

When the recession hits, Osaka-based loan shark Ginjiro Manda decides to help out small business owners in trouble, but finds himself face-to-face with the yakuza who come to collect debts.

#2 in the King of Minami series. The relentless Osaka loan shark Ginjiro Manda and his apprentice, Ryuichi, attempt to collect from a failed AV producer, setting into motion a complex series of events involving the yakuza, planned bankruptcy schemes and a wily stockbroker named Yasuda.

When aspiring businessman Chiwaki borrows money from the LA mafia and flees to Japan to escape his debt, he soon finds himself being chased throughout Osaka by the local yakuza and a mafia loan shark. Chiwaki plans to get out of debt by investing in a high-end beauty salon, with a loan from Ginjiro Manda. Soon, Chiwaki finds himself pursued by Manda as well, who is willing to go up against the mafia to get his money back.

The owner of a prestigious nightclub recruits her, introduces her to a doctor in Osaka who performs the illicit surgery and even agrees to foot the bill. But when the club owner turns out to have ulterior motives, Rio turns to Manda for help.

This is the 25th installment of the long-running OV series, which delves into the dark side of society that is often overlooked. This ambitious film sheds light on the ruthless, unknown side of sex-related businesses such as host clubs and brothels, which target people indulging in unbridled desire. Maejima (Bonchi Osamu), an ice shop owner who falls in love with a woman working at a restaurant in Toyota Shinchi, borrows 2 million yen from Ginjiro (Takeuchi) to help her out of debt, but falls into a clever trap set by the greedy host club owner, losing both the shop's land and the building.

Ginjiro finds that it has become impossible to collect debts when even his regular clients have been conned out of their savings. He discovers that Sugiura gang underboss Domoto is behind these schemes. Domoto wants to take over the gang and tries to ruin Yukino, the real boss’s widow and the gang’s acting head, by sabotaging a resort hotel project with the help of a thug named Kawatani. Ginjiro, who has lent money for the project, is furious when he learns about Domoto’s schemes and goes into action.
