Příběh Renáty Soukupové (kolekce)

The story of fifteen-year-old Renata, who lives in a small apartment with her divorced parents, takes place during the socialist era of the 1980s. Not only does she have her own problems appropriate for her age, but she is also disgusted by her parents' constant arguments, who willingly involve her in all their intimate matters. She takes revenge on them by getting into more and more trouble. She gets drunk, listens to Radio Free Europe, and rebels somewhat clumsily against the political situation. But when things get really bad, she allows herself to be rescued by her father, a member of the secret police, with a mixture of admiration and contempt. Weaned on this confused world of adults, she clumsily stands on her own two feet. Only when she falls in love with a boy she doesn't want at a dance and loses her virginity to a boy she doesn't really know, only after various emotional escapades, does she find a certain indulgence for her eternally quarreling parents...

Autumn 1988. Renata is studying journalism. She lives with her jealous boyfriend Standa, whom she occasionally cheats on. She edits the school magazine and is perhaps a little more daring than the others, mainly because she doesn't want to be the daughter of her father, a bigwig at the Ministry of the Interior. But the situation is getting out of her hands—Renata's anti-regime mini-activities and her romance with dissident Holý are getting the attention of the STB. Her dad is worried about his career and maybe even convinced that he should disinherit her. Her relationship with Standa is getting complicated.

The third installment in a loose series featuring the character Renáta Soukupová. Renáta is on the threshold of her thirties and is determined to conquer Bohemia back, to find her permanent and certainly beautiful existence here. And, of course, love, because she left France partly due to a failed romantic relationship. However, things do not turn out as the young woman imagines.

The next installment in a loose series about Renata Soukupová, first a girl and now a young woman. Renata, currently living in Paris, makes another return to the Czech Republic: a man comes to pick her up, and she decides to give him her love and trust. We know him from previous episodes; he is a former dissident named Holý, and he and Renata have always been attracted to each other. Renata realizes that he is finally the man with whom she would like to have a family. But Holý does not want children...

She is the happy mother of a seven-year-old daughter and lives with her partner, journalist Ivan, in a wooden log cabin from the First Republic on the shore of a flooded quarry. The place is idyllic, but the relationship between Renáta and Ivan is more complicated. Ivan is now a forgotten curmudgeon, while Renáta, who has become a director, is at the peak of her powers. She encounters a new and intense love and must make a painful decision about this unexpected problem...
