The Adventures of Dot

An Australian girl gets lost in the Outback, but she’s befriended by a kangaroo who gives her a ride in her pouch as they search for the girl’s home.

Dot joins up with Santa Claus in order to help her friend, the mother kangaroo, find her lost joey. The pair take off into the air in Santa’s sleigh led by two kangaroos and travel the world searching for the zoo where the missing kangaroo has been sent.

Dot looks for a lost kangaroo with help from her bunny friend who wants to be a kangaroo, too.

Dot comes to the aid of her native animal friends when Bruce the koala informs her of plans to build a massive dam that will destroy their environment. But the local farm animals believe that the dam will catapult their small country town into the 21st century. With both sides fighting for what they believe is right, Dot’s plans to wipe out the dam are jeopardised by local detectives Sherlock Bones and his offsider Watson the cat!

Dot seeks the magical green root that will give her the ability to talk to animals. She eats a red root by mistake, and is shrunk to the size of an ant. With the help of new friends, Keeto the mosquito and Butterwalk the caterpillar, Dot searches for the green root that will restore her size. But she must find it before sundown, or she will shrink even smaller.

Dot and her dolphin friends come across a very sad whale named Tonga, who has washed up onto the beach. Tonga is in danger of being harmed by whale-hunters and a cruel fish shop owner! Seeing that her new friend is in trouble, Dot just might have a few clever ideas to go about helping.

A circus owner attempts to capture a mysterious Bunyip, and Dot discovers that the circus is merely a front for an international wildlife smuggling operation. With her pals, Burra the Kookaburra and two boxing kangaroos, Dot sets out to put an end to the cruelty.

With the help of Hollywood stars, Dot wins a talent quest, and discovered by a famous director, she becomes what all dreams are made of – a film star. This enables her to raise money for her little friend Gumley the koala, who needs an operation on his eyes.

Dot's last romp takes her literally out of this world when she decides to rescue Whyka, the Russian space dog, who is circling the Earth, trapped in a broken-down satellite. Trading places with Buster, the space monkey, Dot boards an American rocket and is launched into orbit. She manages to save Whyka, but then crash-lands on the fantastic planet Pie-Arr-Squared, where everything is round.
