2015 - 2020

Long before the multiplex, 3-D was a showman's gamble, and many of its treasures disappeared for decades. The 3-D Rarities series pulls them back into depth: a railroad's glossy sales pitch, a heavyweight championship bout, an atomic-test film yanked from release, a burlesque comedy unseen in 3-D for over sixty years, Casper drifting off the screen. The 3-D Film Archive rescued and realigned every one shot by shot; the result is cinema history leaping into the room.
