A feature film edited from three episodes of Amazing Stories (1985): The Mission, Mummy Daddy, and Go to the Head of the Class.

This anthology gathers four episodes of the 1985-87 television series "Amazing Stories." Santa Claus (Douglas Seale) gets arrested when a burglar alarm goes off as he's delivering presents. A lonely bachelor (John Lithgow) buys a mysterious doll. A museum thief (Danny DeVito) gives a purloined ring to his wife (Rhea Perlman), unaware that the previous owner's ghost inhabits it, and 75 years after he accidentally caused a train to crash, an old man (Roberts Blossom) waits for his penance.

Four tales are compiled from the popular television series. After a death row inmate (Patrick Swayze) is struck by lightning, he discovers he's received the Christ-like ability to heal others, prompting a race to save him from the electric chair. An author (Sam Waterston) is haunted by an apparition in mirrors. A psychic (Gregory Hines) reads the mind of a serial killer but doesn't know which member of his audience the thoughts come from. A painter (Harvey Keitel) mourns his wife's death.

Culled from Steven Spielberg's Emmy-winning series are four wacky tales full of adventure and laughter. In one, an actor (Tom Harrison) in a mummy's costume mistakenly wreaks havoc as he races to the hospital for the birth of his child. Another centers on the zany antics of a family dog, while a third follows Walter Poindexter (Sydney Lassick) a man with a magical remote control. Lastly, the embodiment of Guilt (Dom DeLuise) goes on vacation, and falls for Love (Loni Anderson).
