Is a party after a canceled wedding a recipe for disaster? It is. And what a disaster it is! Two families differ in everything - origin, status, wallet content, taste. The parents of the groom and bride are initially shocked. What did such a thing happen? Who was at fault? What about the wedding party? Should they welcome the guests? Play music? Pour the vodka? Who will cut the cake? From word to word, polite smiles turn into public washing of dirt. And finally a real bomb goes off... And in the meantime, the wedding party turns into a wild party. And no one is bothered by the absence of the newlyweds.
Would-be bride and groom Weronika and Łukasz decide to give themselves a second chance and invite their family to the wedding and reception in a seaside town. Among the invited guests are Wanda and Tadeusz – with their dog, Mirelka, and also a divorcee, Małgorzata, accompanied by her much younger partner, Jan , and her mother. The sea, drinks, and nude sunbathers make the family members on both sides more open and ready to shed their masks.
Wanda and Tadeusz host a christening for their granddaughter, tension simmering as they reluctantly invite Małgorzata and her psychotherapist friend Grażyna. Just when the family braces for a fraught gathering, Andrzej returns to Poland, stirring old conflicts and transforming the warm celebration into a battleground where no one is willing to back down.
