Gadar is an Indian Hindi-language romantic period action drama directed by Anil Sharma from a story written by Shaktiman Talwar and was set during the Partition of India in 1947 and later in 1970 in it's sequel.
During the partition, Tara marries Sakina and they live a happy life. However their happiness is short-lived when Sakina's father forces her to stay in Pakistan and separates her from her family.
When Tara Singh goes missing during a skirmish and is believed to be captured in Pakistan, his son Jeete sets out to rescue him and enters a labyrinth from which they both must escape at all costs.
