Carnivàle is an American television series set in the United States during the Great Depression and Dust Bowl. In tracing the lives of two disparate groups of people, its overarching story depicts the battle between good and evil and the struggle between free will and destiny; the storyline mixes Christian theology with gnosticism and Masonic lore, particularly that of the Knights Templar.

With the growing threat of viral epidemic and the possibility of worldwide environmental catastrophe, humanity has an unprecedented ability to destroy itself, and vampires need to take control of their threatened food source. Everything is not what it seems in Trinity, South Carolina. Sheriff Lucas Buck develops a sinister interest in Caleb. Caleb's cousin Gail tries to protect him, but that's complicated since she has feelings for Sheriff Buck. And Caleb's dead sister, Merlyn, returns as an angel, warning him that Buck is an incarnation of evil - and may not be human.

Pachara, a pink diamond that is the most valuable in the world. It is desired amongst many and leads to death, murder, and many battles over it. However, those who come in posession of it has a tragic end. The year 2540 (1997), at the border of Thailand Dr. Amorn aids Prapoth in finding the Pink Diamond, a valuable diamond that is filled with curses. Wahto is their guide, and on their way they encounter many dangers. They finally come upon a ancient altar. At the altar there is a giant statue of a cat. The statue is a body of a cat, but the head is of a woman. One eye contained the elusive pink Diamond. Prapoth goes back on his word and doesn't intend to give the diamond to the government so it can be treasured in a museum, and protected by the country. He kills Amorn who tries to stop him and attempts to kill Wahto, but Wahto escapes with Amorn's 3 year old daughter.

Staz is a vampire from the surreal "Demon World", and Fuyumi, an ordinary girl, accidentally wanders into the Demon World through a portal. Subsequently after meeting each other, Fuyumi is killed by a carnivorous plant and turned into a ghost, causing Staz to take responsibility and pledge to help bring her back to life.

Black Blood Brothers, also known as BBB, is a light novel series written by Kōhei Azano and illustrated by Yuuya Kusaka. In 2006, Studio Live and Group TAC produced an anime based on the series. It is directed by Hiroaki Yoshikawa. It was licensed for North American release by Funimation Entertainment, with the first DVD being released in February 2008.
