The polyphonic montage builds on vast unpublished material, covering half a century of performances, teletheaters and interviews by Zimba, as he was known – before and after fleeing Poland, on the eve of the invasion of Warsaw – and recreates fragments of Wedding Dress , a play by Nelson Rodrigues which the Polish-Brazilian director won a revolutionary montage in 1943.

This is a documentary about a well-known figure in Polish politics - Wladyslaw Bartoszewski. The hero of the film is a man with a very rich resume. He was born and raised in Warsaw. He was a prisoner of Auschwitz, a soldier of the Home Army, an activist of the Polish Underground State, a participant in the Warsaw Uprising, twice served as foreign minister, and finally a publicist, writer and scientist. In a forty-two-minute documentary it would be impossible to present the full biography of this man - that's why this film selects only the more important episodes from Bartoszewski's life. His life is narrated by the hero himself. Stories about him are also spun in front of the camera: Jerzy Sienkiewicz, Jerzy Turowicz, Krzysztof Kozłowski, Israel Gutman, Jan Nowak Jeziorański, Stanisław Lem and Stefan Kisielewski.

Andrzej Koszyk, a filmmaker, and Jacek Kaczmarski, a singer, take a trip around Warsaw, the place of their birth and youth, after years of emigration.

After 2 years in a mental hospital, Gosia, 18, is returning to her family and friends. As every other young woman, all she wants is a chance at ordinary life: to finish her studies and meet someone who will love her. She fights to be heard and understood, and speaks openly about her experience of schizophrenia.

A simple accountant, Jan, due to unfortunate circumstances, becomes a double murderer, sending to the other world an unfaithful wife and her lover. The video recording of the killing lands, by accident in the hands of Kacper, an employee at a video rental. Kacper and his girlfriend decide to blackmail the killer.

Stories of three women struggling with alcohol. Dorota is a great prosecutor. Using her immunity, she tries to avoid responsibility for her offenses committed under the influence of alcohol. Her husband, a famous politician, helps her keep the problem secret and rescues her from many troubles but he slowly loses patience. A respected children surgeon Teresa has lost her family due to drinking problem, all she is left with is her job at the hospital where she is the main doctor. The situation goes out of control when the woman comes drunk to the hospital. A student, Magda, likes to party hard and because she is a good student and has a great job, no-one opposes that. At one moment, the girl loses control. A tragedy happens.

A story of life and death, featuring Lozinski's six-year-old son Tomaszek and elderly people spending time on the benches of a Warsaw park. Riding his scooter, Tomaszek asks the elderly very adult, though basic, questions, which they are happy to answer. The boy's ideas of future and life are confronted with those of men at the end of their lives.

The life of Jan Himilsbach (1931-1988) - stonemason, docker, sailor, actor, screenwriter and writer - is a collection of anecdotes on the one hand, and a string of overwhelming events on the other. As a juvenile shoemaker he was sent to a reformatory, as a railroad thief - to prison, and as a laborer - to a quarry in the God's Gift mine. The film uses interviews with Jan Himilsbach, excerpts from films featuring him, the song "Happiness, Where Are You," for which he wrote the lyrics, and autobiographical novellas set in Minsk Mazowiecki.

Tadeusz Kantor was a great artist. Not only in its own - the twentieth century. Not only in the area of ​​his homeland - Poland. A well-known Krakow documentalist and at the same time his longtime collaborator - Krysztof Miklaszewski- he decided to reconstruct Kantor's road through Europe.

Did the 1989 revolution in Central Europe devour its children? This question is answered by representatives of the anti-communist opposition from Warsaw, Prague, Budapest and Berlin. The documentary shows images of the upheaval, with songs by Jacek Kaczmarski, Jaroslaw Hutka and Wolf Biermann as a backdrop.

The beginning of 1945, Poland. In a newly liberated country, the Communist Security Service is annihilating its enemies under the guise of punishing "national traitors." They organize a labor camp for Germans, Silesians and Poles, on the site of a former Nazi concentration camp called Zgoda / Reconciliation. In the room behind the wall, the parents - Tadek and Elżbieta - live their married life. He is an intelligent constantly humiliated by the state, he also makes his own moonshine after work and silently envies his prosperous brother in law. She is the leader of the "Solidarity" union at work, with the need for freedom and a dream to get out of Poland. The real adventure for the family starts when they manage to get their dream orange Fiat 126p. Ela and Tadek discover their appetite for trading and trips abroad, and the growing Marta will fall in love for the first time.

The action is placed in a cramped flat in Warsaw’s district of Ochota. A father and a son, both bedridden, live in a fascinating symbiosis. The son, a well‑known photographer Bernard ben Dobrowolski, is lying in bed because a chronic condition has deformed his body and immobilized him. The father, Dominik, has recently suffered from a stroke. Now they are taking care of each other and crowds of visitors move through their room.

Her ex-wife won’t meet her. Her daughter rejects her. Her mother still calls her “son.” As Marianna transitions from male to female, she is abandoned by her loved ones, alone in a world unwilling to accept her true self. This multi-award-winning documentary is an intensely sympathetic and powerful account of one individual’s struggle to gain acceptance—even in the midst of profound physical hardship.
